Our purpose
Home projects often start with a deceptively simple question: how much should I buy or budget? We build focused calculators that answer that question without hiding the math. Each tool states its units, formula, allowance, limitations, worked example, and source logic.
Our editorial standard
Every calculator is designed around established measurement conversions and practical ordering conventions. We prefer government agencies, model-code bodies, trade associations, and manufacturer technical literature as references. We do not copy retailer descriptions or present national averages as local quotes.
Independence and corrections
Cost My Reno does not accept payment for calculator results or source inclusion. Advertising, if introduced, will be labeled and separated from calculator controls. If you find an error, contact us with the page, input values, expected result, and supporting reference so we can reproduce and correct it.
What we are not
We are not a contractor, engineer, architect, code official, or materials supplier. Our estimates help with early planning; they do not replace site inspection, stamped design, product instructions, permits, or qualified professional advice.
